Can AI music be played on the radio? On ours, yes.

Fablesh plays music made with AI on three independent radio stations. This page says what Fablesh asks of you first, and what it takes care of itself. It is not legal advice: whether you may share a particular song depends on your rights in it, and on the terms of the tool you made it with.

  • Radio Uppsala
  • Radio Fablesh
  • Roslagen Live

What Fablesh asks of you

  1. 01

Have the right to share it

The Creator Agreement asks you to promise that the recording is yours, or that you have written permission from whoever owns it. With AI tools that often depends on your plan.

  2. 02

    Mark it “Made with AI”

One box in the upload form. The song's page says so — as a fact, not a warning — and it plays in the same rotation as everything else.

  3. 03

    No real person's voice

A voice, likeness or performance style that imitates a real, identifiable person needs their written permission. Without it, a first breach can mean removal and account closure.

What Fablesh takes care of

  • The stations' side of the licensing. If a collecting society is owed something for a broadcast, that obligation is Fablesh's to meet, not yours.
  • Asking first. When you accept the agreement you are asked whether you belong to a collecting society such as STIM or PRS, so anything Fablesh needs is in place before your song goes into rotation.
  • Saying what the stations are for: promoting the music and the people who make it. They carry no paid advertising tied to your song.
  • A fair hearing. If someone claims your song infringes their rights, you are told what the claim is and who made it, and you can answer.
  • Every word of it is in the Creator Agreement.

Questions

Can AI music be played on the radio?
On Fablesh's three stations — Radio Fablesh, Radio Uppsala and Roslagen Live — yes. Songs made with AI are welcome as long as they are marked as AI when uploaded, and they play in the same rotation as everything else. Other stations decide for themselves; Fablesh can only answer for its own.
Is it legal to put an AI song on the radio?
Fablesh cannot give legal advice. What it can tell you is what it asks: that you have the right to share the recording, that it is marked as made with AI, and that it does not imitate a real person without their written permission. Whether you hold the rights to a song made with an AI tool depends on that tool's terms and your plan, so read them before you upload.
Who owns a song I made with Suno or Udio?
The tool's terms decide that, not Fablesh. On some tools and plans the songs belong to the service, not to you. Fablesh takes no ownership either way: uploading gives it a free, non-exclusive right to use the song on its own services, and you keep whatever rights you hold.
Do I have to say it was made with AI?
Yes, if it was generated or substantially assisted by AI. The Creator Agreement asks for it, and the upload form has a box for it. Fablesh welcomes music made with AI; it does not welcome music that pretends not to be.
Can my song use a famous singer's voice?
Not without their written permission. A voice, likeness or performance style that imitates a real, identifiable person is the one rule where a first breach can mean immediate removal and account closure.
Does anyone earn money when my song is played?
No. The stations are run to promote the music, not for profit. They carry no paid advertising tied to your work and generate no royalties, for you or for Fablesh. Being played costs nothing and pays nothing.
What if someone says my song is theirs?
Fablesh may take it down while the claim is looked at. You are told what the claim is and who made it, and you can answer. If the claim does not hold up, the song goes back.
