A.J. McCarthy is a British songwriter from Market Harborough, England, creating heartfelt, story-led songs about family, memory, love, growing up and the people who shape our lives.
His songwriting draws on personal experiences and everyday moments, blending soul, acoustic storytelling, folk-pop and Americana while keeping the lyric and emotional connection at the centre.
His debut single, “Just One More Day,” released on 16 October 2026, was written in memory of his late father. A piano-led soul ballad, it reflects on love, loss and the universal wish to spend just one more day with someone we have lost.
