Before you upload
The questions artists and producers ask before they join: artists, plans, figures, distribution and royalties.
Several artists on one account
One account can hold as many artists as you make music under. When you upload, you choose the artist for each track; a name that isn't there yet creates a new artist. A project or a small label with several artist names needs only one account.
The track limit belongs to the account, not to each artist. A Starter account holds five tracks in all, shared by its artists. Any monthly plan removes the limit, and tracks you already have always stay.
The stations
Fablesh runs three stations around the clock: Radio Fablesh, Radio Uppsala and Roslagen Live. You can listen to all three on the radio page. Uploaded tracks that are published can go into their rotation; a linked track can't, because the radio needs the audio file.
Listener figures
We don't share station audiences or listener numbers with people who haven't joined. Fablesh is a place to build a profile, release your work and use its promotion tools, not a numbers game.
Once your tracks are published, your figures are your own, and you see them in Works:
- Radio plays — every time a Fablesh station aired a track, for the last 30 days and all time.
- Radio listens — how many people heard you on the radio this week.
- Plays on the site — listens of 30 seconds or more, once you have accepted the Creator Agreement.
Every Friday you also get an email with the week's airplay: each track, how many times it was played and which stations played it. Where listeners are located isn't shown yet.
Distribution and other services
Uploading to Fablesh doesn't affect where else you can release your music. You keep the copyright, and the licence you give Fablesh is not exclusive: you can release, license, sell and distribute the same tracks anywhere else at the same time, and you can take a work back at any time.
When a release is out through a distributor, add its UPC and ISRC codes on the release page and Fablesh links it to the streaming services.
Royalties and collecting societies
Airplay on the Fablesh stations is royalty-free in both directions: Fablesh pays you nothing for the licence and charges you nothing for it.
If you are a member of a collecting society, as a songwriter or as a performer, say so when you accept the Creator Agreement. It doesn't change anything for you, and it tells us whether a licence is needed before your music goes on the radio. If you have ISRC codes for your recordings, have them ready.
What to prepare
- The audio as WAV, FLAC or MP3, and a square cover for each release.
- For each artist: a photo, a short bio and links.
- An honest AI disclosure for every track that used AI. Upload only music you have the rights to share.
- A monthly plan if you are bringing more than five tracks.
