Uploading music and drafts
Put a track on Fablesh, or keep it as a private draft until it is ready.
Before your first upload
Fablesh publishes what you upload — on the site, in the player and on the radio — so the first time you upload, you are asked to accept the creator agreement. You keep the copyright, and you can take your work back at any time.
Uploading a track
Choose Upload music from the Create menu. Then:
- Pick your audio file — WAV, FLAC and MP3 all work. The file name is suggested as the title; change it if you like.
- Choose the artist. Existing artists appear as you type. A name that isn't there yet creates a new artist, so check the spelling.
- Add a release title if the track belongs to an EP or album. Leave it empty for a single.
- Add a square cover image, or tick “Make one for me”: Fablesh looks for the official cover first and makes one if there is none.
After the upload, the track is prepared for the player and the radio and appears in the catalogue within a few minutes.
Keeping it as a draft
Tick “Upload as a draft” and only you can see the track. It stays out of the catalogue, search and the radio. You can still share a draft into a project, where only the people in that project can hear it.
Your drafts are listed at the top of Works. When a draft has finished processing, press Publish and it goes into the catalogue straight away. You can also remove a draft from there.
Adding a link instead
Below the upload form you can paste a link from Suno, Udio, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Spotify or YouTube. The track joins the catalogue and plays through the original service — nothing is downloaded. A linked track can't go on the radio, because the radio needs the audio file. Upload the file later and it replaces the link on the same track.
