Fablesh Studio

Make music in your browser, free, and send the finished track to Fablesh.

What Studio is

Fablesh Studio is a music studio that runs in your browser at studio.fablesh.com. You can record, play the built-in instruments (a synth, a drum machine, a sampler, a piano, a bass and a SoundFont player), arrange on a timeline, mix with eleven built-in effects and master to a loudness target. Every instrument and effect has a graphical view and a list of sliders.

It is free: no licence fee and no trial, and you do not need an account to make music. The only thing in it that spends credits is optional — AI note suggestions in the piano roll, which show their price on the button.

Mixing and mastering

Mix Assistant suggests a balanced first mix: levels, EQ, gentle compression, panning and a shared reverb, each change with its reason. Mastering builds a master chain to a target such as Streaming (−14 LUFS), Podcast (−16) or Broadcast (−23). Both are measurements and fixed rules that run on your device, not AI. You can compare before and after, and nothing changes until you accept it.

Where your projects are

Projects are saved in your browser, on your own device. Nothing is uploaded unless you share a project or send something to Fablesh.

To keep a copy, or move a project to another computer, use Save .fstudio and open the file in Studio there. You can also export the mix as WAV, the stems as a ZIP of WAVs, the MIDI as a .mid file, or the whole project in the open DAWproject format.

Connecting your Fablesh account

Sharing, review links, the artist library and releasing work with your Fablesh account. The first time you use one, Studio sends you to fablesh.com to connect, says what the connection allows, and takes you back.

Working together

  • Share project… invites your Fablesh contacts, by handle or email, as editors or viewers. Invitations are accepted on fablesh.com.
  • While you are both connected the status says Live, and you see each other's playhead and selection in the timeline.
  • Edits made while you are offline are kept and merge when you reconnect.

Review links

On a named version, Share for review… makes a private link on fablesh.com. Anyone with the link can play that version and leave comments at a moment or over a part of the song, under a display name and without an account. The link expires after 30 days unless you choose otherwise, can be revoked, and allows downloads only if you say so. Fetch review comments brings the comments into your timeline.

The Fablesh artist library

The library tab in Studio's Sounds panel holds loops, one-shots and kits published by artists on Fablesh. Each sound carries its licence and credit, and when you use one, its credit is listed with your release.

To publish your own, choose Publish to the Fablesh library… on a clip, pick a licence and a credit. Publishing needs the Creator Agreement.

Releasing to Fablesh

In Studio's Release panel you fill in the title, artist, credits, artwork, ISRC (one you own, or a request), rights, and confirm the AI disclosure Studio builds from the project's history. Prepare for distribution renders the master to its loudness target, checks it and sends it to Fablesh as a draft in your Works.

Publish the draft from Works to put it in the catalogue and on the radio. For streaming stores, the release page has the DistroKid hand-off with what came from Studio.

Not here yet

The desktop app — which adds the plugins installed on your computer and stem separation with Fablesh's own model — has no download yet. Until it does, separating stems is not available.
