Projects and credits
Make something together in a private project, and get credited for your part.
What a project is
A project is a private place for making one thing together — an EP, a collaboration, a video. It holds the people you invite, a room only they can read, and the works you share into it. Nothing in a project is public, and every work stays with the person who made it.
Starting one and inviting people
Go to Projects, say what you are making and add a line about it if you like. Then invite people from your contacts and give each of them a role: artist, producer, songwriter, composer, musician, vocalist, engineer, DJ, podcaster or label. The invitation shows up in their space, and they choose whether to join.
You can have up to 20 active projects, and a project has room for 20 people.
The room and shared works
Everyone in the project can write in its room. You can share your own creations and uploaded tracks into the project — drafts too. A shared draft is seen by the people in that project and nobody else. You can take a work out again at any time.
How roles become credits
When a work in a project is published, or a published work is shared into a project, the members' roles become credits on it. The publisher's own credit is confirmed straight away.
Everybody else sees the credit on their home page and chooses Confirm or Not me. Not me removes the credit, because it would say something untrue about them. The DJ role doesn't turn into a credit.
Leaving, archiving and deleting
You can leave a project at any time; you lose access to its room and drafts. The owner can archive a project, which keeps the room read-only, or delete it, which removes the room and its messages. Either way, everyone's works stay theirs.
